Legends Collective is a founders’ community in Edinburgh. This page explains, in plain English, what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We’re the people responsible for that information (the “data controller”).
What we collect
When you fill in our join form, you give us:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- What you’re building: your business, project, or a link
- A line or two on what’s drawing you to Legends (optional)
We don’t collect anything you don’t type in yourself. We don’t run advertising trackers, and we don’t buy or scrape information about you from anywhere else.
Why we use it
We use what you give us to get in touch about the Collective, let you know what’s on, and understand who’s joining so we can make the community better. That’s it.
Our lawful basis is your consent (you choose to send us the form to hear from us) together with our legitimate interest in running and growing the community. You can change your mind and withdraw at any time (see Your rights).
Who else touches your data
We keep things lean. Your information passes through, and is stored by, a small set of trusted providers who only ever process it on our behalf:
- Make: moves your form submission from the site into our records
- Supabase: the secure database where our member records live
- Vercel: hosts this website
- Luma: if you register for one of our events, Luma handles that signup under its own privacy terms
We never sell your data, and we never hand it to anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We hold onto your details for as long as you’re part of the community, or interested in it. Ask us to delete you and we will. Promptly.
Cookies
This site doesn’t use tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. If that ever changes, we’ll update this page and ask for your consent first.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can ask us to:
- Show you the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything that’s wrong
- Delete it
- Stop or limit how we use it
- Send a copy to you or someone else
To do any of these, just email us below. We’ll respond within a month.

Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top.
